Outreach Uganda is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower impoverished people in Uganda, primarily women and children, through income-generation projects, education and training, and community empowerment projects including a primary/nursery school with over 500 students, a clinic serving over 5000 people in 5 villages, and a home building project for 40 women.We currently work with 3 women's groups in Uganda and a sub-county in northern Uganda with 5 villages. We work with over 140 women, have over 200 children participating in sponsorship or scholarship programs, and have a population area of 5 villages of over 5000 people served by the community school and community clinic.Our Girls' Education Initiative program has over 150 participants and strives to keep girls in third to sixth grade motivated to stay in school and achieve at an average or above level so they have choices when they graduate from 6th grade..
