Providing confidential and anonymous dedicated mental wellness text support lines to Toronto high schools. Support Responders (paid positions) are non-judgmental, empathetic and caring individuals, familiar with youth issues. All communication is via texting, the communication mode with which most teens grew up and are most comfortable. Overflo does not provide therapy, counselling or crisis management--just straight teen talk with a goal of listening, supporting, and helping students to develop coping strategies. High schools receive non-identifiable, aggregate statistics about 'caller' issues and can therefore tailor their mental wellness programs to their students' specific needs.
