The Oxford German Forum is an annual international affairs conference based at the University of Oxford. The forum aims to unite leading academic and political minds to explore and discuss common issues affecting the United Kingdom, Germany and the European Union. It is the only conference in Oxford dedicated to European politics and the discussion of UK-German bilateral relations. By engaging with primarily university students, the debate relates directly to their futures and provides a platform for discussion with policy-makers, academics, businessmen and women and other influential thinkers.Previous conferences have been entitled:2011-2012: 'Embracing the Shift of Powers'.2012-2013: 'The Future of European Integration'.2013-2014: 'European Security and Defence Policy: Responding to Strategic Threats'.The 2014 forum was sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the key-note speakers included, The RT Hon Lord Patten of Barnes, CH, and Bundesverteidigungsminister a.D.
