Youth Soccer Academy operating in the Eugene, OR area, offering player development opportunities to boys and girls between 5 and 18 years of age. Member of the Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) since 2012.Pelada Football Academy is founded on a philosophy of instilling in young players a lasting love of the game of soccer. The PRIMARY Academy (ages 5-10) uses skill-level and age appropriate games to build confidence and technical skills side by side. Players learn the fundamentals of the game through fun and engaging field exercises and small-sided competition. This is arguably the most important stage of a young player's development: it will determine the skill sets, basic knowledge, and enjoyment of the game that they take into their competitive years.The PELADA 11 Academy is our program for players age 11-18 who are ready to engage the technical and tactical challenges of eleven-a-side soccer – its emphasis is on producing proficient, intelligent, well-rounded players with an advanced understanding of the game. Training is weighted toward technical development at the lower age groups, and shifts toward an increased tactical emphasis as players approach and enter high school. Participation is NOT tryout or trial-based – Pelada FA and its staff believe strongly in offering equal developmental opportunities to all players, regardless of initial skill level, and its founding coaches have been rewarded over the years by seeing this philosophy produce skilled athletes out of many players who might not have made initial competitive cuts. Fostering a strong, positive team culture is an integral value of the Pelada 11 Academy.
