PSA is an NPO focused on the promotion and development of Creative Education in South Africa. Its founder, Rayelene Govender has extensive experience working in the international and local NPO space and holds a Masters Degree in Education from Stockholm University. Combining her passion for Creative Arts with Education, PSA was conceptualized and realized during the COVID lockdown period in early January 2021. The focus is to create a platform where creative art competitions can be run and managed digitally – also making the platforms completely accessible via mobile devices. Successful entries are awarded art supplies, cash prizes and where appropriate mentorship and support programs are put in place. The first digitally run art competition project undertaken by PSA was the 2021 Youth Day Creative Art Competition where a total of 6 winners were selected across 2 categories.
