Ponderosa Student Ministries' purpose is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students by giving them opportunities to experience God's power, presence and peace; through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to accomplish this through the 3 C's - Camping, Classes, and Correspondence lessons, which promote the spiritual, moral, and educational condition of students.Ponderosa operates a Christian Camp & Retreat Center from its location in Mentone, AL, offering camping sessions for individuals and groups. Established in 1947 and operating from its current location since 1976. It is operated by Jeff Nelson, Executive Director and overseen by a Board of Directors.Ponderosa is a faith supported ministry.
