Inaugurated in 2015, REVERE - Resource for Vehicle Research at Chalmers - is a vehicle research laboratory in Lindholmen, a hub for technology, research, and communication in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden. With its 400 m2 facility, 10 min from Lindholmen Science Park, the lab is a meeting place for world-class cutting-edge research, testing, knowledge sharing, and cooperation. In all, an open innovation arena for collaboration with research partners from industry, the academia and society. The lab provides platforms and supporting personnel for advanced vehicle research within:• Autonomous driving• Vehicle dynamics• Active safetyIn the lab, there are several vehicles instrumented with different types of sensors and equipment that can be used for AV research, data logging, V2V testing and more. This allows the lab to provide a research platform for development and verification of theoretical models, algorithms and technologies using real vehicles in real traffic environments. Tests in different traffic environments are carried out in close cooperation with the test track at AstaZero. REVERE provides state of the art computational capabilities for data collection and processing needs related to its research projects. Research engineers at the lab has also developed an in-house open source software framework, OpenDLV, intended to run in autonomous self-driving vehicles.Revere is part of SAFER - Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers (https://www.saferresearch.com). Additional partners are Volvo Cars and Volvo Trucks. The laboratory is hosted by Chalmers University of Technology. Region Västra Götaland provides funding.
