The digital divide is real and affects Aotearoa New Zealand's ability to enable long term wellbeing and economic prosperity. Many Kiwi's are being left behind as they cannot afford fit for purpose devices which enable access to the increasingly connected world of education and mahi. Recycle a Device (RAD) sources pre-loved laptops, teaches high school students how to refurbish them, then gets those devices into the community to whānau to keep.Recycle a Device has 3 key benefits:1. Gets laptops to those who need them most2. Upskills high school students in laptop refurbishment, sustainability and social responsibility3. Diverts e-wasteOur 2021 goal is to refurbish and distribute 2000 laptops, and onboard 15 schools into the RAD programme. To do this we need your help. We need your laptops.
