Renewal Youth Organization for Development and Peace (RYO) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organization that started its community work in 2015 as a voluntary youth initiative, and at the end of the year 2019 / AD, it was officially registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the Republic of Yemen as a civil society non-governmental organization with license No. 57 / m / 2019. It seeks to enhance a leadership participation of youth and women in achieving sustainable community development by placing youth at the core of its strategy which based on the youth, peace and security agenda contained in UN Resolution 2250. The organization has worked on developing the community development sector and entrepreneurship within the organization as basic pillars that contribute to achieve its goals.The organization's activities mainly focus on increasing the participation of youth and women in peace-building and decision-making processes through activities that contribute to: strengthening the capacities of youth and women community mediators to contribute to local conflict resolution, and building the capacities of media professionals and young content makers to direct their efforts towards the use of art and social media In promoting the values of coexistence and peace, as well as strengthening the role of community partnership in maintaining local security, and other activities. The organization adopts a policy of including gender categories and combating all forms of gender-based discrimination in its internal structure and in all its projects.
