Phelan Riessen and Ron Hodson were involved in the San Diego startup community, and realized that no one really knew how many startups there were in San Diego county.And while knowing how many startups there were was nice, what if making those startups more visible actually helped the startups to get the help they needed to grow? That was the reason Phelan and Ron decided to create the San Diego Startup Map.This has been a volunteer effort to date, with lots of people helping out in various ways. The software development of the current website is the result of a partnership with Notch8, a local software development firm, and LEARN Academy, a local coding school.Our focus in 100% on helping local startups become more visible, and we look forward to unveiling even more new features in the future that highlight why San Diego startups deserve attention.If you like what we are doing, and would like to help, reach out to Phelan or Ron.
