Sexual Abuse & Sex Solutions (SASS) provides psychotherapy services to teenagers and adults. Quandra Chaffers, a licensed clinical social worker, founded the practice in the mission of ending sexual violence and promoting sexual health. That is why the practice is dedicated to helping those with trauma histories learn to engage in pleasurable, consensual sex. That is also why, the practice provides individual supervision to aspiring therapists and consultation services to community partners who wish to aid in the mission. SASS provides community workshops on a variety of sexual health topics including sexuality and aging, sex in relationships, polyamory & kink, problematic sexual behaviors, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, intimate partner violences, pain during sex, and more. SASS serves to fill a unique need in the San Francisco Bay Area in that issues of trauma are usually addressed separately from issues of sex and relationships. Some clients who may benefit from trauma therapy will instead seek out couples counseling or sex addiction treatment centers. SASS uses evidenced based treatment and addresses issues of problem sexual behaviors and sexual trauma in one place. SASS works to get to the root of problematic sexual behaviors by addressing attachment issues, co-morbid disorders, and underlying trauma.
