The Foundation was formed in 2009 and formerly known as the Michael Carter Foundation. In its five years of existence, the Michael Carter Foundation supported many non-profit organizations within the special needs community. The scope of the Foundation has since been extended to support a much broader range of non-profit and charitable organizations with the goal of empowering people and making a positive and lasting contribution to the communities we serve. The ultimate aim of the The Skylight Foundation is to improve and enrich the communities we serve, providing aid to organizations that support families in need across that state of Ohio
