Studio Illumine is an international team of lighting designers with a passion for light, architecture, product design and art. The design practice is officially founded in 2011 and based in Shanghai. Its team members are of varied design backgrounds and dedicated to bringing meaningful and imaginative lighting schemes into the built environment. Its independent and professional status ensures that its lighting service is unaffiliated with any manufacturers.Studio Illumine believes that lighting is a vital element of good design. As such, it needs to be considered in parallel with the other design processes from the very beginning. Good lighting is developed through an understanding of the latest technology available, lighting codes, sustainability and a sense of the built environment.
