T.J. Kirkpatrick is an award-winning photojournalist available for assignment in Utah and Colorado. He currently interns at the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, following an internship with the VII Photo Agency in New York. He has worked internationally and in the U.S.A California native, T.J. earned a B.S. in photojournalism from Boston University, where he was named the Photojournalism Student of the Year upon graduating in 2006. He's worked at the Waterbury, Connecticut, Republican-American and interned at the Newport Daily News in Newport, Rhode Island, the Cox Newspapers Washington Bureau in Washington, D.C. and at the Harvard University News Office.T.J. enjoys meeting people and sharing their stories. He's interested in leveraging the power of photography to help humanitarian causes and spark social and economic development. When he's not behind a camera, he can be found darting through city traffic on his fixed gear bicycle or experimenting in the kitchen.T.J.'s work has appeared in Time Online, The Boston Globe, International Herald Tribune, L'Express, Le Monde, MSNBC, and the Washington Post, among others.
