Taipei Wego Private Senior High School

Founded in August 1951, Wego is a complete school consisting of a kindergarten, primary as well as secondary schools. Beginning originally with primary school, Wego further established junior and senior high schools (Grade 7-12) in 1994 to achieve a comprehensive educational system. Based on Confucius's teachings and incorporating a globalized educational concept, Wego succeeds in merging education with everyday living, integrating knowledge, developing the power of information, and realizing ideals through passion and perseverance. "Taking from society and returning to society" is always the educational philosophy in Wego campus.Wego offers two curriculum tracks: Taiwanese High School Program and International Education Program (as explained below). Both programs are accredited by Taipei City Government and all students receive Taiwan Senior High School Diploma upon graduation. Wego focuses education in natural sciences, social studies, math, English, and Chinese, and provides honors and AP courses to meet the needs of all students. Through the outdoor Mountain Program, volunteer activities, humanities courses, and arts programs offered by Taipei National University of the Arts, Wego helps students to develop into well-rounded individuals. In Wego, 85% of graduates go to local universities while the other 15% attend overseas ones. Every year, around 40% of the graduates go to either National Taiwan University (No. 1 in Taiwan) or medical schools, and 80% of them get admissions to the top 5 universities in Taiwan. Asa result of Wego's holistic education programs, students in the international program are all admitted to top universities around the world.
