To-date, we have been able to distribute close to 2,000 dolls and toys to kids who need them most. We are not affiliated with the Mattel brand, and while we are not a non-profit organization, doll donors requesting tax receipts receive them from the non-profits we partner with.Secondhand dolls and handmade or upcycled accessories are pretty special, and we know that people who donate them to us think so, too! But new-in-box toys are also always great when gifting to shelters, hospitals, and organizations where only packaged items are allowed. So, while we have done all manner of toys for girls and boys and even pets in the past, our focus is Barbie dolls and their accessories.Giving away dolls is how we share a part of US with youth who need to feel loved and empowered to succeed, regardless of sex, age, race, disability, trauma experienced, or socioeconomic background. Some kids have never even owned dolls before receiving one of ours! By playing with a Barbie doll, youth become creative story tellers, and dolls are an extension of the role models in their lives, as well as who they see themselves to be. Helping youth make smart choices and break the cycle of abuse or poverty are highly important to us, as are mental health and self esteem, and we will always look for ways to support organizations who address those issues.
