The Black Heron Company begins as a creative outlet for content and learning materials for young children, with a focus on those in the early stages of social, emotional, and literacy development. Founded by Briana Bostic (@sheisbribo), the content is inspired by her preschool experience at Wallace Elementary School, time in the classroom with "The Innovators" at Herzl School of Excellence, as well as years of research and community organizing in Chicago, St. Louis, Prince George's County (MD), and Baltimore.Love, collaboration, community building, extensive notebook scribbling, and many long nights of creative exploration to bring this work forward.
