Comprised of a dedicated team of MIT sustainability professionals and students, our organization focuses on addressing the pressing issue of plastic waste management in Makkah. Our mission is to develop a comprehensive plan that minimizes plastic waste while considering the city's growth and sustainability goals. We are committed to reducing plastic production, promoting circular economy practices, and advocating responsible plastic use. Through extensive research, impact measurement, infrastructure proposals, behavioral change initiatives, and collaboration with authorities, we strive to create a sustainable framework aligned with the Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision and the Pilgrim Experience Program. By raising awareness, fostering collaborations, and implementing initiatives, we aim to create a more environmentally conscious future for Makkah's pilgrimage activities.
