Lemada Light Industries Ltd was founded in 1978 by the Hertzano family and specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality board games. Rummikub, one of the company's most popular games in the world, was developed by the late Mr. Ephraim Hertzano back in the 50s. Nowadays Rummikub is sold in 52 countries and translated into 26 languages. Lemada'sfactory is based in Arad-Israel, comprises the latest state-of-the-art technology, and produces over 3 million educational & developmental games a year mostly for export. The head office, based near Tel Aviv, includes R&D, Graphic, Import/export, and marketing departments. In the local Israeli market, the products are sold under the brand name "KodKod", a well-known brand for several decades. KodKodgames are developed in-house as well as imported under license and sold in the leading chain stores in Israel.
