Back in 1995, a college kid with absolutely no restaurant experience decided he wanted to open a restaurant - a Tex-Mex restaurant. Everyone thought he was a little crazy, but it turns out that's just what the restaurant landscape needed at the time - the weird, the wild, the insanely great food of Tijuana Flats. Fast forward to now - Tijuana Flats now has 65 corporate and 25+ Franchise locations in several states!We pride ourselves in serving fresh, never frozen or microwaved food, in a funky, laid-back atmosphere that both our guests and team love. Can you imagine never having to work on holidays? Guess what, it isn't a dream! We are actually closed on 7 major holidays so our team can enjoy the day with family and friends. Since day one one of our most important Core Values has been community and Tijuana Flats has always given back to the community. But in January 2007, we created the Just in Queso (JIQ) Foundation to give back even more. Much more. Over $6.0 million to date to help those in need.
