Located in a small industrial warehouse of 800 square meters, the company quickly became a market reference due to its specialization in highly concentrated products for specific applications, as well as gaining an admirable reputation for quick delivery times and product customization. Beyond the common AFFF, AFFF-AR, and Class A, the company developed a remarkable range of foam concentrates covering market needs in sectors as varied as firefighting, industry, or forestry applications.Coinciding with the implementation of environmental restrictions based on the Stockholm Convention in 2010, and in anticipation of future legislation in this regard, VS FOCUM began researching a new line of fluorine-free products called SILVARA. Certifying in this range the world's first 1% Class B Newtonian product in 2012 marked a new stage for the company with the introduction of specific products for aviation (Silvara K3, 2014). In 2015, alongside the introduction of the (then) world's most concentrated Newtonian Class B product (Silvara ZFK, 0.5%), the company began to expand into new markets such as mining and exported 70% of its production outside Spain. In 2018, VS FOCUM reinvented its Silvara I as a significant improvement of its star product six years earlier. Enhancing its versatility and efficacy, the product became the best-selling product in the same year it was launched. Due to emerging logistical difficulties as the business volume grew, VS FOCUM opted to buy an industrial warehouse in Olloniego, Oviedo, Asturias in 2019. With 16,000 square meters at its disposal (4,000 for production, 1,000 for offices and chemical analysis and fire laboratories), and equipped with all kinds of advantages, its area for outdoor fires enabled the certification of new products.
