The Wackathon is a new concept of a traditional hackathon.For those who don't know, a hackathon is an event where people gather to work in groups to develop a project in a very limited span of time. Usually after that the teams pitch their projects and compete for a price. The Wackathon takes hackathons to the next level, not only by teaching people how to really work in teams, organize tasks and decide which features are core to the projects and which aren't, but mostly by encouraging the creation of products that can have real social impact!Wackathons encourage vanguard technology projects, such as drones, VR, Augmented Reality, Brainwear and Machine Learning.We encourage teams to be multidisciplinate: with experience, we have seen teams of only coders aren't good enough and don't represent real life projects, then why should we have a team in a Wackathon without somebody thinking of the business model, defining the pitch and marketing strategies and doing usability tests.Also, the Wackathons offer extra activities to make people relax from the tension and pressure that a hackathon can provide.
