Watts Powerhouse Food's mission is to break the cycle of inter-generational poverty in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Watts, CA. We will fight poverty by providing financial, nutritional and educational assistance to individuals and schools. We have the experience and local partners in place to accomplish our mission; all we need is the assistance to make it happen.Our priorities are as follows:-Distribution of food to children, mothers and grandmothers in the Imperial Courts Housing Project and the adjacent neighborhood of Watts.-Tutoring and after school food assistance at the Grape Street School in Watts.-Providing breakfast and lunch at Watts Christian School.-We depend on individuals and companies with similar goals for the inner city to donate money.Watts Powerhouse Food is a 501 (c)(3) charity and donations are tax deductible.
