About Dean's Entrepreneurship Lab\The mission of the Dean's Entrepreneurship Lab is to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem for students, post docs and faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine. We provide access to resources, training and mentorship in biomedical entrepreneurship. Our goal is to position members of the WCM community for success and to build the next generation of leaders in life sciences industries and new ventures.\\About BioPharma Alliances and Research Collaborations\The office of BioPharma Alliances and Research Collaborations (BPARC) was established to deepen and broaden Weill Cornell Medicine's engagement with biopharma, the venture community and the life sciences industry, by generating and structuring high value translational research alliances and catalyzing the formation of start-up companies (aka, NewCos). Chief among its objectives is to design and implement innovative business development and value creation strategies, and generate and negotiate dedicated research alliances and the formation of NewCos to support and accelerate ongoing translational research projects led by our faculty. To enhance and reinforce these objectives, BPARC launched the eLab, as well as the prior Daedalus Fund for Innovation, a dedicated program designed to advance and add value to early stage applied and translational research projects and technologies with commercial potential in order to bridge the post-discovery/pre-commercial development gap, thereby progressing nascent projects to the point at which they will be considered "partnership ready," i.e., attractive opportunities for collaboration and partnering with industry, and strong candidates for licensing and business development.
