West African Conservation Network is a relatively new U.K/Nigeria based charitable organization with an emphasis on securing wildlife populations and restoring wilderness areas so that it benefits surrounding rural communities.On the 27th of October 2023, West African Conservation Network signed a 31 year MOU with the Nigeria National Park Service, a Federal agency dedicated to the custody and management of Nigeria's national parks. The MOU is a binding collaboration between WACN and the National Park Service to restore the Kainji National Park to being one of the most formidable wilderness areas in Western Africa and beyond within the duration of the arrangement.
