That's the underlying justification for our Model United Nations simulation in which student delegates take on the roles of diplomats from among the 193 member states of the actual UN and do their best to represent their country's interest. The result is a sharp and positive learning curve coupled with a life-changing experience unlike anything that can happen in a traditional classroom setting!The Western Collegiate Model UN (WestMUN) has been organizing these conferences for the past 20 years, and we are proud of our work. We are organized by a Board of Directors, which I have been honored to lead for the past 17 years. Our team organizes the many components of each year's conference ranging from the appointment of the Secretary-General and his/her staff, leadership training, conference agenda, and approaches to sustaining and growing WestMUN .All of us are volunteers.The annual ritual of planning the conference requires countless volunteer hours and monthly teleconferences by many who are utterly dedicated to this process.
