World Action Fund (WAF) is an indigenous, not-for-profit making, independent organisation operating in Uganda. Founded in May 2014 by 5 board members who initially came from aftermaths of brutal civil war region of West Nile sub region in Northern Uganda. A home to former fearless president of Uganda Idi Amin Dada 1971 to 1979 and various coups until 1986 where stable government under teh president Yoweri Museveni to make a stable government and peace, previously the area has been epicentre of civil strives, and murder until the return of civilians from the refugee camps from DRC Congo and South Sudan. The area took decades to come to spot light as people and development lagged behind.We support life saving and life-changing approaches to the world's poorest and most vulnerable people. From rapid emergency response to innovative development programming, we go to the hardest to reach places to make sure that no-one is left behind.Mission: To engage long term development works in order to alleviate suffering by building secure nexus to address the root causes of poverty for better sustainable life in protecting humankind, wildlife, and environment.
