The biggest problem with college education is that students are well prepared academically but they are not prepared as a contributing member of a business. They lack knowledge about basic concepts like value cycle, product development, strategy, operations, etc. This makes it difficult to plan long term for their careers, which translates into a poor effort to optimize their time and curriculum in school. The $1.3 trillion student loan debt shows that current college advising is not working.Our goal is to fundamentally change the college education. We introduce a three-part basic 'course' for every student, managed by college advisors. First one is called 'Designer', and uses our new concept called 'Business Genome Map'. It helps students learn how to 'design' a career the same way a civil engineer learns how to 'design' a 'bridge'. Second part is the introduction of an extended network of mentors helping with their own 'career' project. Third is a track and grade of their effort.
