XIO Studio is a creative architecture / interior design and research practice based in Melbourne. The studio focuses on architecture and interior design, and is lead by Fay Xiao and David Jenkins. Fay has more than a decade of experience in architectural design practices, obtained at multiple well-known international architecture firms, while David has extensive company management and partnership development experience gained over more than 25 years. XIO Studio has rich experience in commercial, office and mix use works, at various scales from design to construction management, other projects includes retail, residential, art, hospitality, landscape and urban planning.XIO Studio is inspired from a combination of art, culture and nature, analysis of project requirements, as well as the site context; in order to discover an unique experience and character for each project. To discover this unique character, XIO Studio employs multiple techniques to evoke a timeless aesthetic, including storyboarding, emotional recall, painting, sketching and virtual or physical models.
