So far Xivio.com is in it's 4th iteration of design. Development began in 2003, site launched live as a full product on April 15, 2006. The site attracted a highly dedicated user base. Xivio as a brand has a strong following of girls mostly. The site appeals to a younger, more educated, HH income up to $60k audience. Xivio has pioneered in the children's virtual world space the following ways: 1. First children's site to offer actual social networking blogging, picture, and video uploads thanks to advances in a scalable Open Content Ratings system and parental controls. 2. First true 3D Engine in Flash Player Web-Browser plugin. (accomplished in 2005 with proprietary tech in ActionScript 2) 3. First virtual world to allow users to upload real MP3s and play them live in a virtual world chat setting to multiple guests. 4. First to allow real-time Video Conferencing via Flash plugin in a virtual world for kids. 5. First children's site to offer a complex trade economy inside the game so members could purchase and resell virtual goods with virtual currency, and exchange virtual currency.
