Xtend.AI was founded with the mission of using the latest advances in AI/Deep Learning to address and solve global challenges in health, energy, education and other areas. The UN regards AI as a key technology to accelerate the achievement of its Sustainable Development Goals. We are a group of passionate entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, AI and technology experts that are inspired by this vision and are working hard to make it a reality. Our first product uses AI to prevent vision loss for millions globally. Over 422 million people have diabetes worldwide and over 30%, or 150 million have diabetic retinopathy (DR). DR is the leading cause of preventable blindness in working age adults worldwide. Our AI powered solution automatically detects DR from fundus images of the retina and can aid in screening and early detection of the disease The solution is currently being piloted in Senegal in collaboration with WHO and Ministry of Health, Senegal. We are also launching several other AI powered solutions in healthcare including earlier detection of cancer, heart disease, using AI/ML for remote monitoring of patients at risk and save lives.
