Why is this important to business?Because 15% of women suffer from post natal depression which can have a massive impact on their ability to return to work. Employers are required to make adjustments to support women back into work after maternity leave and additional policies need to be in place if that person is suffering from PND.How about supporting the prevention of PND?We already know that that there is a link between practising Hypnobirthing techniques and having a more positive experience which results in less trauma and signs of PND. Therefore it stands to reason that employers can support their staff by offering Hypnobirthing courses as part of their Maternity / Paternity packages to support prevention rather than cure.How Can an Employer help?Adding free or heavily reduced Hypnobirthing and antenatal care to employee benefits packages and encouraging employees to take advantage of them can support staff well being and reduce the likelihood of PND and make returning to work just that little bit easier
