We believe every young person should have the opportunity to spend a year doing paid environmental work to help save the planet. We're helping make that happen by offering a framework of support that can empower environmental organisations to create new opportunities and enable young people to thrive within them. Our first pilot, New to Nature, is an opportunity to explore the practicalities and refining our approach through a real-world delivery of a first cohort. Working in partnership with Groundwork UK, and with £2m funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the programme will see 70 young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds being placed in nature-focused organisations across the country for a year of paid work in 2023.
