Zone Startups Sports + Media (ZSSM) is a startup accelerator based in Toronto, Ontario, focused on fostering new technologies in and around sports and media, including esports, fan engagement, wearable and stadium technologies, and more.The program's founding partner Rogers is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Canada. ZSSM has partnered with Rogers to develop innovative and cutting-edge technology and to push boundaries in sports and media. Rogers is a strong, national brand that provides our startups with distribution channels and influences how technology continues to change the landscape of these industries.ZSSM is part of the Zone Startups family, founded by Ryerson Futures Inc., a for-profit entity wholly owned by Ryerson University. Zone Startups includes Zone Startups Calgary, as well as four programs in India: Zone Startups India in partnership with the Bombay Stock Exchange; Thought Factory powered by Axis Bank, Barclay's Rise Accelerator, and Gateway91.ZSSM also takes part in Ryerson Futures' seed fund for top-performing companies, and has an innovation-for-hire component, helping clients find solutions in technology.
