dexterity is neither a fund manager nor an adviser: it's a simple tool of vigilant information to make timely decisions; in line with the wisdom of the crowd; to buy and sell index-tracker funds; transacted via any online stockbroker. Although banks, pension and investment companies are keen to manage our money, we find them untrustworthy. They charge a lot, and their communication is minimal. They don't take our money off the table when events are turning sour, and they're largely unaccountable for failure. So much expense for so little expertise! At dexterity, we thought, "Surely these days investing should be simple and inexpensive. What might a modern investment service for ordinary savers look like?" In 2008 we started to design a service we'd feel comfortable to offer our best friends and family; good value even for monthly savings; deliverable anywhere in the world. We've been testing and improving it for two-and-a-half years: now we feel it's time to show in public. If we've all to take more responsibility for our own financial welfare, then we all deserve a trustworthy way to invest.
