We are a small team of developers with diverse visual effects production, animation and software development backgrounds at studios like Industrial Light and Magic, Disney and Weta FX.We are best known for our "Shave and a Haircut" hair rendering/animation/modelling solution, but have also done significant ground breaking research in character animation and rigging solutions and massively parallel GPGPU computing.We primarily sell our products via our website (www.joealter.com), however have also licensed software to Autodesk and Avid, and have also engaged in licensing our technology method patents to several fortune 500 companies.
