Born and raised in Southfield, MI music entered my life at a very young age. I began playing cello at age 4 and continued to play through high school. I was very lucky to attend an elementary and middle school where music, theatre, and other arts were highly encouraged. It was there where I performed my first role, as the head of the quilting club in "Sam Johnson and the Blue Ribbon Quilt" in the first grade. At 9 years old, I had the opportunity to sing with Canadian children's singer Bob Schneider as one of his Rainbow Kids for 2 consecutive years. It was in high school when I really decided to focus on theatre. After a summer study at Western Michigan University, I was one of 2 students offered immediate placement in their Musical Theatre program. Ultimately, I decided to go to the University of Arizona and received my BFA in Musical Theatre. While at UA I was a member of Arizona Repertory Theatre, the conservatory program, and President of Theta Alpha Phi, the theatre honorary fraternity. I also did some cool shows, met some cool people, and learned a lot of cool stuff.Upon graduation, I moved to Chicago and thanks to my awesome stage manager roommate, landed a job right away. I worked consistently in Chicago for 2 years before packing my bags to perform on Disney Cruise Line for 9 months. It was then I decided it was time to move to NYC, where I have been based since.
