Blue Sky Therapeutic Services offers exclusively online counseling and was started by my wife and I as an idea to expand our therapy practice to a global audience. As we all know, the digital age is moving us more and more online whether we like it or not, and the counseling field is no exception. Online counseling offers a variety of benefits over traditional in person counseling. People are less inhibited and more comfortable in their home settings, helping therapy move more quickly towards change. It is more convenient and time saving without having to drive to appointments, find parking and waste time in waiting rooms. You simply log in at the scheduled time and start the session. Allison and I have over 25 years of clinical experience between the two of us having both worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with both adults and adolescents. A primary niche of ours is working with issues that arise with Expats, as we have both lived as Expats for the 7 of the past 10 years on 3 different continents. We understand the unique challenges that come with the expat lifestyle from loneliness, missing family and friends back home, feeling disconnected from the culture you live in, difficulty making friends and strains on relationships with partners and children. We specialize in treating addiction, depression and postpartum depression, teens/adolescents, anxiety, trauma an expat issues. We are both Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) in Florida, are Masters Certified Addiction Professionals (MCAP) and Board Certified TeleMental Health Professionals (BC-TMH).
