Born in Perth Western Australia, at 23 Calan Williams is one of the most exciting young drivers on the international motorsport scene. In 2017 he left Australian shores to race Formula 3 in Europe after winning the Australian Formula 3 title. Calan competed with the highly regarded UK based team Fortec Motorsports through 2018 and 2019 in the Euroformula Open Championship. and in 2020 and 2021 raced with Swiss team Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 Championship alongside Formula 1 Grand Prix events.In 2022 Calan secured a seat in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Italian based Trident Motorsport, placing him in one of the top 22 seats in the world outside of Formula 1 with the highlight of a P4 finish at Jeddah.Now Calan is competing at the highest level of world GT racing with the world's best team WRT. In his first season of the GT World Challenge, Calan won the Overall Gold Class Championship, along with being the Sprint Cup Champion in the Gold class. From the 10 rounds, he achieved this with 4 wins, a pole position and 9 podiums including a 2nd place in his first 24 hours of Spa.The management of a driver through the elite levels of international motorsport is a complex and dynamic business. Calan Williams Racing (CWR) Pty Ltd was formed to manage all the work associated with Calan's racing. This includes selecting and negotiating contracts with the race teams, managing all the support mechanisms around Calan, travel and other logistics, administration, and budgeting along with the important work of selling sponsorship packages.
