ciuDATA is a Tech Startup focused on the collection of Urban Data with the purpose of improving citizens lives in Latin-America and the Caribbean.We've developed and installed our own software and hardware in garbage collectors' vehicles, which commonly provide the basic service with the most coverage in urban areas, since waste disposal daily operations demand a huge installed capacity.At a very low cost our software and hardware capture and send real time MASIVE URBAN DATA to our server. The software captures data like the type and quality of roads, quality of traffic lights, quality and location of road security accessories like bumps, location of health and educational institutions between others. The hardware sends data like air quality, acoustic contamination, and road illumination between others. The data is accessible through our digital platform, and it is suitable for data-processing and analytics, the platform allows the visualization of diverse events around urban spaces through a dashboard, the use of open data and the use of specific datasets & smart data reporting.Alongside the great and main impact our data can generate on the efficiency of municipalities by the possibility for them to implement strategic city planning by modeling and simulation with real-time data, this technologic innovation accessible for garbage collectors optimizes the service, it makes it more affordable and sustainable and meanwhile it reduces emissions that are inherent to their operative, fighting climate change.
