Enactus, formerly known as Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE), is an international non-profit organization present in 39 countries around the world, with over 67,000 students as active members. Enactus brings together a diverse network of university students, academic professionals and industry leaders around the shared mission of creating a better and a more sustainable world. Enactus Hans Raj, through its rigorous and unwavering commitment, has emerged successful in catering to the plethora of social issues afflicting thousands of lives. An active and judicious member of the community, Enactus Hans Raj has successfully run numerous projects since its outset in 2012.We currently run three projects; Project Vriddhi, Project Ahsaas and Project Armaan.Project Ahsaas is a fully-functional entrepreneurship model, which aims to socially and economically uplift the disabled community by providing them equal opportunities. The service based model provides income earning opportunity to disabled by engaging them in providing delivery services through e bikes while the product based model engages the disabled community in manufacturing eco-friendly products. Project Vriddhi is based on the idea that stubble can be put to a variety of uses and should not be burnt. The project currently functions under 4 verticals. Through Tabdeel, stubble is used as an input in mushroom cultivation, leading to a significant increase in the farmers' revenue.Through Shilpkari, we aim to socially and economically uplift rural women by employing them for manufacturing handicrafts using raw stubble. Through Nirmaan, we aim to curb open defecation by establishing toilets made by stubble in several slums. Lastly, Restove uses stubble as an input in the biogas industry.Project Armaan engages recovering drug addicts in manufacturing sustainable products which financially uplifts them while also designing an online portal as a one-stop solution for all de-addiction needs
