In year 2000 El Sayad Group started a private investment desk to run the surplus liquidity within El Sayad Family & their %100 ownership companies.This desk was developed even more in 2004 upon signing a business partnership agreement with the world renowned Saxo Bank.Since then the pace started picking up & many requested getting the same kind of professional service but we had to apologize as we were not licensed to manage funds for the public.In 2007 Mr. Mohamed El Sayad –the investment desk manager & the board member for financial affairs in El Sayad Group- decided to take the legal course to transform the private investment desk to a joint stock portfolio management company regulated by the Egyptian Capital Market Authority(CMA).These efforts secured the Portfolio Management License for Xsab under CMA register 457/2008.Although the International Financial crisis was at its peak at the time & the capital market leaders were stumbling around, Xsab performance was much better than most of the competition.This gave the management team the confidence to start the business without delay officially in April 2009.
