Alterna is developing Guatemala's next generation of dynamic social entrepreneurs. Enabling ordinary people to build successful social enterprises and achieve extraordinary positive impact. We do it through three complementary programs: We cultivate social entrepreneurship – providing hands-on mentoring to social entrepreneurs creating social and environmental value. We create and launch social ventures – We practice what we preach by launching sustainable business models that attend critical environmental and social local problems. We bridge the support gap between local social entrepreneurs and the organizations with the resources to help them by creating local entrepreneurial communities and building an inclusive ecosystem.
