The mission of Dream of Wild Health (DWH) is to restore health and well-being in the Native community by recovering knowledge of and access to healthy Indigenous foods, medicines and lifeways.DWH is centered at a 30-acre organic farm in Hugo, Minnesota. The farm is a place to gather and work as a resource for the Native Community. It is a place of learning, a place of celebration, a place of being, becoming and belonging. The farm is a model put into practice. It is a place of safety for youth. It is a place to regenerate and re-propagate the seed. It is a place to keep alive the vision of our values.We are committed to sharing our knowledge, resources and skills with others in an effort to reduce poverty, improve health and nutrition, and reconnect people and plants in a reciprocal relationship. We partner with dozens of urban and tribal organizations on programs that work to restore the mental, physical, and emotional health of our community.

Officially formed in 2010 by Veronica De La Cruz, the Eric De La Cruz Hope for Hearts Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to assist in meeting the financial needs of heart transplant patients around the United States. The Foundation is based in California but seeks to assist heart transplant patients and their families throughout the country.OUR MISSIONThe Eric De La Cruz Hope For Hearts Foundation has been formed to honor the memory of Eric De La Cruz and fulfill his wish that no heart transplant patient would ever again have to suffer because of a lack of insurance or the inability to pay for life-saving medical treatment.On July 4, 2009, Eric De La Cruz ran out of time waiting for a life-saving heart transplant. Founded by Eric's sister, Veronica De La Cruz, the Hope For Hearts Foundation will provide financial assistance, educational resources, and advocacy for heart transplant patients and their families as they face the daunting task of getting a second chance at life. Eric's struggle even inspired a grassroots campaign, led by his sister Veronica, to support real change in healthcare through "Eric's Law."

The Michigan Daily, the campus newspaper of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, published its first issue on Sept. 29, 1890. The student-run paper is published Monday through Friday during the fall and winter terms. During the spring and summer terms, it is published weekly.The newspaper, which is financially independent from the University, is based in the recently renovated Stanford Lipsey Student Publications Building at 420 Maynard St. in Ann Arbor. The renovations, made possible by a gift from alum and Buffalo News publisher Stanford Lipsey, updated the building by adding handicap access, air-conditioning and other amenities while retaining its historic features.The Daily covers the University's campus, administration, sports teams, faculty and culture as well as the town of Ann Arbor and other topics that affect the lives of students. Alumni include playwright Arthur Miller, two-time presidential candidate Thomas Dewey, activist Tom Hayden and investment banker Bruce Wasserstein. Its former editors, reporters, photographers, business staff members and other alumni have gone on to work at publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Time magazine, The Associated Press and countless other media outlets.
