Long-liner fishing company Pesquera Azul SA is registered in Uruguay and is owned by Norwegian company Pesquera Azul Norge AS. It was founded and is managed by a highly qualified team with decades of hands-on industrial experience from both Patagonian Toothfish and other types of fisheries.In collaboration with the Uruguayan maritime authorities and through the deployment of cutting-edge, patented technology, we aim to significantly enhance working conditions and onboard safety of our crew, reduce fuel consumption, minimise whale depredation and eliminate bycatch.We believe our purpose-built vessel FV Ocean Azul will set a new standard of quality and innovation for the international long-liner fleet as part of our missions to help reduce the environmental footprint of fisheries in the Antarctic region.
